We are happy to announce that Supportiv has won a $25,000 grant from the Tamer Fund for Social Ventures. With this grant, high schoolers are now able to access peer support on any topic via Supportiv free of charge!
The grant will be able to provide over 150,000 minutes of peer support to high school students seeking support as well as access as needed to victims of natural disasters. Professor Bruce Usher, chair of the Tamer Fund Investment Board, said that the fund chose to award grant money to Supportiv because of its “innovative use of technology, strong management team, and the potential for large social impact.”
We are excited to be able to put this money towards good use with high schoolers being in an age group particularly susceptible to life struggles. We hope that using technology to anonymously connect them with others going through similar life challenges as well as trained moderators able to provide resources will help show them they are not alone.
