What do teens value in mental health support? “Anonymity, immediate access to care, the option of a one-off service” says a report by Optum Behavioral Health – all boxes that Supportiv checks, as we kick off serving the 85,000 high school students in Clark County, Nevada (one of the nation’s largest school districts) with 24-7 on-demand peer-to-peer support.

Key learnings from serving students so far:

  • Teens find Supportiv useful after trying it: 90% of teen users have returned after their first visit.
  • Supportiv is filling a care gap: Most teen users visit the peer support chats between 8pm to 2am, when other services are unavailable.
  • Supportiv is inclusive: 42% of teen users identify as BIPOC.

We thank our partner UnitedHealthcare Health Plan of Nevada Medicaid for this opportunity to serve the high school students most in need. Read their post about this partnership, here: https://bit.ly/3UZv46b
